The organization is committed to building thriving communities and creating sustainable long-term value for partners and stakeholders.Office Location: Motor CityOffice Timing: Monday to SaturdaySalary: Competitive The RoleThe Finance Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the financial operations of the Facility Management business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, healthy cash flow, timely client billing and collections, and profitability across FM contracts and sites. The role will work closely with Operations, Contracts, Procurement, HR, Commercial, and senior management to ensure that each facility management contract is financially controlled and delivered within approved budgets and commercial terms.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor the financial performance of individual FM contracts, projects, and sites.Prepare contract-level profit and loss reports.Track revenue, direct costs, indirect costs, manpower costs, subcontractor costs, materials, and other operational expenses. Ensure all contract-related financial commitments are properly recorded. Review billing against contractual terms, approved work orders, purchase orders, attendance, service completion, and agreed rates. Monitor unbilled revenue and pending invoices. Monitor client deductions, retentions, penalties, credit notes, and disputed invoices. Ensure revenue is correctly recognized and recorded. Maintain a clear billing and collection tracker for all FM contracts. Monitor outstanding client balances and aging reports. Follow up with Commercial and Operations teams regarding overdue client payments.Report monthly collection performance and major overdue accounts. Support the business in maintaining healthy operating cash flow. Review payroll costs against approved manpower budgets.Reconcile employee headcount with contract requirements and payroll records.Monitor overtime, allowances, accommodation, transportation, and other manpower related costs. Manage the accounts’ payable function and supplier payment cycle.Review supplier invoices against approved purchase orders, contracts, delivery documents, and supporting records.Ensure subcontractor invoices are verified before payment.Monitor supplier aging and payment commitments.Review subcontractor and service-provider costs against approved budgets and contracts.Ensure proper approval and documentation before releasing payments. Monitor subcontractor costs across FM contracts.Verify subcontractor invoices against agreed rates and actual services provided.Review manpower deployment, service reports, attendance, and supporting documents where applicable.Monitor subcontractor performance against budget.Monitor daily and monthly cash positions.Prepare cash-flow forecasts based on expected collections and payment obligations. Prepare monthly management accounts. • Prepare contract-level profitability reports. • Prepare revenue, cost, margin, cash flow, AR, AP, and budget variance reports. • Provide financial dashboards and management information to senior management. Conduct periodic reviews of financial transactions and supporting documentation. Manage and supervise the finance team.Establish finance KPIs and performance standards.Ensure finance processes are followed consistently across all sites and contracts.Promote accountability, accuracy, and timely reportingEnsure audit findings are addressed and corrective actions are implemented.
