Finance Manager Taxiworld Group (jump & jumpOUT)Location: London (Tottenham Hale / King's Cross)Reports to: FounderContract: Full-time, permanentSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceAbout UsTaxiworld is the group behind jump the app, a ride-hailing app for London's black cabs that takes no commission from drivers, and jumpOUT an out-of-home (OOH) media company that wraps black cabs with brand advertising. We're an early-stage, fast-moving business building a better deal for drivers and a new advertising channel for brands across London. As we grow, we're looking for a hands-on Finance Controller to build out our financial operations and controls.The RoleThis is a broad, hands-on finance role for someone who's comfortable owning the numbers end-to-end at an early-stage company - from day-to-day bookkeeping and cash management through to management accounts, budgeting and reporting to the founder. You'll work closely with the founder and act as the go-to person for all things finance across the group's entities (Taxiworld jump and jumpOUT), helping put in place the processes and controls needed as the business scales.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn day-to-day financial operations: bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations across group entitiesPrepare monthly management accounts, budget-vs-actual reporting, and cash flow forecasts for the founderManage cash flow and working capital, flagging risks and opportunities earlyLead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting as the business growsOversee payroll processing and liaise with any outsourced payroll/pension providersEnsure VAT, PAYE, corporation tax and other statutory filings are accurate and on time, working with external accountants/auditors as neededPut in place and maintain financial controls, policies and processes suited to a fast-growing early-stage businessManage supplier relationships and contracts from a finance perspective, including driver payment processesSupport fundraising activity where relevant, including investor reporting, data room preparation and financial modellingProvide financial insight and analysis to support key business decisionsAbout YouQualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or strong qualified-by-experience backgroundExperience in a start-up, scale-up or other fast-paced, resource-constrained environmentComfortable being hands-on with day-to-day bookkeeping as well as higher-level reporting and strategyConfident using cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero or QuickBooks) and Excel/Google SheetsStrong understanding of UK VAT, payroll and tax compliance requirementsExcellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approachClear communicator, comfortable presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholdersExperience in transport, media/advertising, or marketplace/gig-economy businesses is a plus, but not essentialWhat We OfferThe opportunity to build the finance function of a growing business from the ground upDirect exposure to the founder and real influence over how the business runsA flexible, fast-paced working environmentCompetitive salary, dependent on experienceHow to ApplyPlease send your CV and a short covering note to abbie@taxiworld.co.uk
