Operating across Australia and New Zealand, the business has expanded significantly through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.Reporting to the Divisional Head of Finance, this is a broad role responsible for the day-to-day finance function across a key business unit. You will oversee financial reporting, controls and compliance while supporting budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis and business integration.Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders, you will analyse business performance, identify key drivers and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.The ChallengeAs Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:Supporting the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes for the business unitPreparing financial and operational analysis, commentary and recommendations for senior managementAnalysing revenue, margins, costs, inventory and working capital to identify key performance driversWorking closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand results and support decision-makingPreparing analysis and business cases to assess commercial initiatives and opportunitiesManaging the end-to-end month-end and year-end close process, including journals, reconciliations and financial reportingSupporting statutory reporting, tax compliance and the annual external auditProviding day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teamSupporting acquisitions and the finance integration of newly acquired businessesDriving process improvements, automation and standardisation across reporting, systems and financial controlsThe ExpertiseTo be successful in this role, you will bring:A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related disciplineCA or CPA qualificationStrong financial accounting grounding, with experience preparing management reports, budgets, forecasts and commercial analysisThe ability to interpret financial and operational information and communicate meaningful insightsExperience within a multi-entity, wholesale, distribution, supply chain, manufacturing or similarly complex environmentConfidence engaging with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersA proactive, commercially curious and improvement-focused mindsetAustralian Permanent Residency or Citizenship required
