Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob PurposeManage and oversee the implementation of activities in the finance department such as account statements, updating and developing finance processes, ERP system management, financial risk analysis, monitoring budgets of all communities and audit liaison in conjunction with Head of Finance department.Roles, Responsibilities, DutiesStrategic ContributionEnsure effective cascading of the departmental strategy into sectional business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies.Team ManagementManage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the Community Management Finance section by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximize sectional performance.Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned section, collaborating with functional experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.Community Management Finance Operations ManagementOversee the operations of the Community Management finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.Supervision and review of all bank's reconciliations.Liaison with Provis and Aldar Finance Department on any Community Management related requirements.Review Actual vs Budget Reports and send to Community Managers for their input and clarifications.Monthly review of Community Management property financial statements, i.e., review of income and expenditure accounts. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with best practice and/or company's policies and procedures.Create the accounting process and standardized reporting system for Community Management related financials.Create a body of policies and procedures to be followed by Community Management finance and Community Management on-site staff.Assist the Community Managers to prepare annual budgets, create Community Management financial statements and produce variance reports.Review and ensure that all expense-related invoices are entered as per the cost split provided by Community Managers and in the correct cost centers.Budgeting and Financial PlanningManage the preparation and recommend the sectional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.Policies, Systems, Processes & ProceduresManage and ensure effective implementation of departmental policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned sectional activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.Continuous ImprovementLead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.ReportingEnsure that all sectional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Provis's requirements, policies and quality standards.Reviewing the approved service charge budget before uploading to the ERP system for invoicing.QualificationEducationBachelor's Degree in Finance and AccountingPreferably Qualified, CA or CPA or CMA or equivalentMaster's degree and/or professional postgraduate certificates (preferred)Experience and Skills5+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years at supervisor level
