Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Summary: We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager who can own the full finance function and, most importantly, build and manage strong relationships with banks and financing partners. The role is a mix of day-to-day finance management and practical funding work: keeping cash flow healthy, securing and managing credit and financing facilities, and giving the leadership team clear numbers to make decisions with. This is a startup environment, so we need someone comfortable building processes from scratch, working with limited resources, and moving fast.
Key Responsibilities
Banking & Financing (core focus)
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Open, manage, and optimize company bank accounts and banking services.
- Negotiate and secure financing facilities, working capital lines, credit facilities, and LCs/LGs as needed.
- Prepare the financial packages banks require (financial statements, projections, business cases) and follow up until approval.
- Monitor facility utilization, repayment schedules, covenants, and financing costs.
- Explore alternative funding options relevant to startups (SME financing programs, government-backed funding, investor reporting support).Cash Flow & Financial Management
- Own cash flow forecasting and daily/weekly cash position monitoring — the lifeline of a startup.
- Manage collections and payables to protect liquidity and avoid cash gaps.
- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts, and track actuals against plan.
- Produce monthly financial statements and management reports for the CEO and shareholders.
- Control costs and flag spending risks early.Compliance & Operations:
- Ensure compliance with ZATCA requirements (VAT, e-invoicing) and other regulatory filings.
- Oversee the accounting team and the accuracy of records in the ERP/accounting system.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks on required documentation.
- Build and improve finance policies, controls, and processes suitable for a growing company.Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Solid mid-level experience in finance, with proven exposure to banking relationships and financing facilities.
- Practical experience dealing directly with banks — opening facilities, negotiating terms, and managing ongoing relationships (this is essential).
- Experience in a startup, SME, or fast-growing company is a strong advantage.
- Professional certification (SOCPA, CMA, CPA, ACCA) is a plus, not a requirement.Skills:
- Strong understanding of financing instruments, credit facilities, and banking products.
- Excellent cash flow management and financial modelling skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (Odoo is a plus).
- Good negotiation and relationship-building skills with external parties.
- Hands-on attitude — comfortable doing the work, not only supervising it.
- Ability to work with limited resources and build processes from scratch.
- Good command of Arabic and English.
