This Finance Manager position sits within the CFO's team and carries responsibility for a sizeable portfolio held on behalf of the Owner.We're looking for someone who combines a finance and accounting background with genuine comfort around fund structures and investment reporting .RoleReporting & Financial OversightBuilding and consolidating financial statements for a group of entities, SPVs, and investment structuresKeeping reporting practices aligned with IFRS/GAAP and relevant internal standardsProducing investor-facing and internal reports at both fund and portfolio levelRunning the forecasting, budgeting, and variance-analysis cycle across the organisationSigning off on monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statementsPortfolio & Investment AccountingWorking alongside deal teams through structuring, due diligence, and the deployment of capitalHandling the accounting treatment for holdings across private equity, venture capital, listed securities, and real estateKeeping tabs on portfolio performance - returns, valuations, allocation across asset classesPlanning cash flow around capital calls, distributions, and new investmentsCompliance & GovernanceActing as the main point of contact for auditors, regulators, and tax advisors during review cyclesKeeping the organisation aligned with applicable financial regulation and industry compliance requirementsBuilding out policies, controls, and risk frameworks that hold up to scrutinyTreasuryKeeping liquidity healthy across the fund and corporate structureManaging FX exposure, hedging, and the timing of cash deploymentLooking after banking relationships and shaping an efficient capital structureBusiness PartneringFeeding financial analysis into board-level and investment discussionsHelping model scenarios for fundraising and capital-allocation decisionsSupporting due diligence and valuation work on prospective dealsRequirementsA degree in accounting, finance, or a related subject — CFA, ACCA, or CPA is a plus rather than a mustPreference for someone who started their career in the Big 46+ years in a financial management role, ideally somewhere with real investment exposure eg family office, PE, asset management, or corporate financeComfortable working across multi-entity structures, with a track record of managing audit relationships and control frameworksStrong technical grounding in IFRS/GAAP and investment/portfolio accountingConfident with financial modelling and advanced Excel; exposure to ERP or investment management platforms is usefulOffice based 5 days a week --> long hours can be expectedAttributesSharp commercial instincts paired with strong analytical thinkingComfortable managing multiple stakeholders with clear, confident communicationMeticulous, with a low tolerance for errorsCalm under pressure, good at prioritising against deadlinesSome leadership or people-management experience
