Finance Manager – Hotel IndustryLocations: Kandy / Colombo Head OfficeAbout the RoleOur client, a leading organisation in the hospitality and hotel industry, is looking for experienced Finance Managers to oversee financial operations, ensure effective financial management, and support strategic business decisions.The ideal candidates should have strong experience in hotel finance and must have previously functioned as a Head of Finance or in a senior finance leadership role within the hotel industry.One position will be based in Kandy, while the other will be based at the Colombo Head Office, with frequent travel to hotel properties.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the overall financial operations and accounting functions of hotel properties.Prepare and monitor budgets, financial forecasts, cash flows, and management reports.Analyse hotel financial performance, revenue, operating costs, and profitability.Ensure accurate financial statements and timely financial reporting.Monitor internal controls, financial policies, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial planning to improve operational efficiency.Coordinate with hotel General Managers, department heads, and senior management on financial matters.Lead and support finance teams while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.Identify financial risks and recommend strategies to improve profitability and control expenditure.Conduct regular financial reviews and site visits to hotel properties, where required.Qualifications and RequirementsA bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.A professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification will be an advantage.Significant experience in finance and accounting within the hotel or hospitality industry.Previous experience functioning as a Finance Head, Head of Finance, Financial Controller, or in an equivalent senior finance leadership position in a hotel is essential.Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and cash flow management.Experience managing hotel financial operations and leading finance teams.Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Proficiency in financial management systems and MS Excel.Willingness to travel to hotel properties, particularly for the Colombo Head Office position.Interested?
