They have a well-established presence in Malaysia and a market reach throughout the country.About the jobThis is a leadership role within the Finance & Accounting function, overseeing end-to-end financial operations with a strong focus on budgeting, continuous improvement, and commercial business partnering. You will immediately take over a team of experienced accountants and lead them to perform in day-to-day operations. You will be partnering closely with other departments to evaluate financial impact of key decisions.

Job Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial reporting standardsManage end-to-end accounting operations, including payables, receivables, general ledger, and asset managementWork closely with Sales, Marketing, HR, and Operations to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-makingConduct financial variance and causal analyses (SG&A, COS, gross profit, sales mix, inventory)Directly manage finance team members and cultivate a results-driven, collaborative finance cultureDrive annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, including variance tracking and performance monitoringMonitor and optimize cash flow, liquidity, and working capital while identifying potential financial risksAct as primary liaison for audits, ensuring compliance with statutory, tax, and internal audit requirements;Identify opportunities for process improvement and support digitalization within finance workflows

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or professional certification such as CPA, CAT, ACCA, or CIMAExperience in a managerial or team leadership role is essential, as you will be expected to lead team members from day 1Industry exposure to manufacturing or trading environments is preferredFamiliarity with tools such as Excel or PowerBIComfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with cross-functional collaborationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAble to communicate clearly and confidently in English and Bahasa MalaysiaWhat’s on offer:A high-impact finance leadership roleCompetitive remuneration and benefits (Basic salary up to RM 12,000)A supportive company environment with significant growth opportunities
