Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Finance Manager to join our Investment Company and lead the finance and accounting function.The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, investment accounting, budgeting and forecasting, cash-flow management, financial controls, audit, compliance, and management reporting, while providing strong leadership to the finance team.This is a hands-on management role requiring a commercially minded finance professional who can work closely with senior management, investment teams, auditors, banks, and external advisors.CPA, CA, or ACCA qualification is mandatory/preferred, along with proven experience managing a finance team and preferably working within an investment company, holding company, private equity, asset management, family office, or similar environment.Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall finance and accounting function of the company and its related entities.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Review journals, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and other accounting adjustments.
- Maintain strong financial controls and accurate accounting records.
- Oversee accounting and reporting for the company's investment portfolio.
- Maintain accurate records of investments, acquisitions, disposals, dividends, distributions, capital contributions, and investment income.
- Monitor realized and unrealized investment gains/losses.
- Review investment valuations and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with investment and portfolio teams to ensure accurate financial information.
- Support portfolio performance reporting and investment analysis.
- Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for investments, subsidiaries, SPVs, joint ventures, and related entities.
- Lead, manage, motivate, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Allocate responsibilities and establish clear objectives and KPIs.
- Review the team's work to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely completion.
- Coach and mentor finance team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development requirements.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of finance personnel.
- Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and accountability within the finance function.
- Build a high-performing, collaborative, and professional finance team.
- Manage the team effectively during month-end, year-end, audit, budgeting, and transaction periods.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
- Provide analysis of financial performance, profitability, costs, cash flow, and investment returns.
- Prepare budget-versus-actual analysis and investigate significant variances.
- Develop financial KPIs and dashboards for management.
- Provide timely financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Support Board and Investment Committee reporting where required.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional qualification: CPA, CA, or ACCA is mandatory.
- 8–12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably within an investment company, investment holding company, private equity, asset management, family office, or financial services environment.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or equivalent senior finance role.
- Proven experience in managing, mentoring, and developing a finance team.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and investment accounting.
- Experience with investment portfolios, SPVs, subsidiaries, consolidated accounts, investment transactions, and related-party transactions is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Experience dealing with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and senior management.
- Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent.

- High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and professional ethics.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Candidates with UAE investment, financial services, or multi-entity group experience will be preferred.
