Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout PAYOKPAYOK is a leading global payment aggregator providing professional and secure online payment solutions to businesses worldwide.With more than 100 payment methods, PAYOK enables merchants to accept payments and manage payouts efficiently while delivering high payment success rates and seamless settlement experiences.Role OverviewThe Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full finance and accounting operations of PAYOK Malaysia, including accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash-flow management, tax and statutory compliance, payroll coordination, internal controls, and financial analysis.This is a hands-on management role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable managing the finance function while also being directly involved in the day-to-day work.The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, commercially minded, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast-paced and international environment.What You'll DoAccounting & Financial ReportingManage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.Review P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements.Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.Prepare financial analysis, management reports, and variance explanations.Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors.Budgeting & ForecastingPrepare annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.Monitor actual performance against budget and identify key variances.Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability.Provide management with recommendations on cost optimization and business performance.Cash Flow & Working CapitalManage daily cash-flow requirements and prepare cash-flow forecasts.Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and outstanding balances.Manage accounts payable and payment schedules.Identify opportunities to improve working capital and cash conversion.Tax & Statutory ComplianceEnsure compliance with applicable Malaysian accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.Coordinate corporate income tax, SST, and other applicable tax matters.Work with external tax advisers, accountants, and relevant authorities where required.Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory filings and payments.Internal Controls & Risk ManagementEstablish and maintain effective financial controls and approval processes.Review expenses, payments, and financial transactions.Identify financial and operational risks and implement appropriate corrective actions.Ensure compliance with internal finance policies and procedures.Maintain appropriate segregation of duties and financial controls.Payroll & HR FinanceCoordinate monthly payroll accounting and statutory payments together with HR/payroll.Review payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations.Monitor employee expenses, claims, benefits, and related financial records.Business PartneringWork closely with the Country Manager and department heads to support business decisions.Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to management.Analyze profitability by product, channel, or business unit where applicable.Support pricing decisions, cost-saving initiatives, and new business cases.Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and management reporting as required.Team Management & Process ImprovementManage, mentor, and develop the local finance team.Review and improve finance processes, policies, and workflows.Establish clear accountability and segregation of duties within the finance function.Drive automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement of finance processes.What You'll NeedBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.4–5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with Finance Manager or supervisory experience preferred.Experience working in a medium-sized, fast-growing, or international business environment is an advantage.Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting, tax, payroll, and statutory requirements.Strong experience in month-end closing, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting systems.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong English communication and interpersonal skills & Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.Able to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively with limited supervision.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, and evolving business environment.Why Join PAYOK?Opportunity to work in the fast-growing fintech and payment technology industry.Exposure to regional and international merchants and business partners.Opportunity to develop expertise in merchant acquisition and payment solutions.Work closely with cross-functional teams across sales, operations, compliance, product, and finance.Career growth opportunities within a growing organization.Dynamic and fast-paced working environment.PAYOK is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace.
