قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجJob PurposeThe Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial accounting, reporting, planning, treasury, and compliance functions of the Rent a Car business unit, ensuring the financial health of the business. This role leads the finance team, drives the budgeting and forecasting process, and provides strategic financial insights to support fleet investment, pricing, and profitability decisions specific to the rent-a-car business.Key Duties:MonthlyOversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.Prepare and present financial reports and key performance indicators to senior management and the Group Finance Director.Lead the annual budgeting process, working with department heads (Fleet, Operations, Sales) to forecast rental revenue, fleet costs, and capital expenditure.Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and smooth completion.Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT, Corporate Tax, and Withholding Tax (if applicable), and oversee tax compliance across the business unit.Monitor fleet-related financial performance, including vehicle depreciation schedules, residual value assumptions, insurance costs, and fleet utilization profitability.WeeklyConduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities across rental operations and fleet management.Ensure financial statements and reporting remain compliant with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards.Review reconciliations of GL, intercompany, and fleet-related accounts, resolving discrepancies escalated by the team.Review receivables aging (corporate leasing, rental income) and payables to manage working capital effectively.DailyOversee cash flow and treasury management, ensuring sufficient liquidity for fleet acquisitions and day-to-day operations.Review daily fund flow statements and cash positions.Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, including credit lines, cash balances, and cash forecasting.Provide guidance to the Assistant Finance Manager and accounting team on financial queries, transaction treatment, and reconciliations.Approve routine financial transactions within delegated authority limits.Decision Making Authority and Responsibility:Responsible for approving financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Accountable for financial planning, budgeting, cost management, and cash flow optimization decisions for the Rent a Car business unit. Has authority to implement financial controls and recommend financial strategies to the Group Finance Director based on analysis and forecasting.Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards, with understanding of rent-a-car/fleet industry financial practices (depreciation, residual value, leasing).Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other relevant regulatory requirements.Understanding of treasury, cash flow, and working capital management.Skills:Financial Analysis & ModellingBudgeting & ForecastingAccounting Software / ERP Proficiency (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)Advanced ExcelTreasury & Cash ManagementReport Generation & PresentationCompetencies:Strong leadership skills to manage and develop a finance team.Strategic thinking with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.Excellent communication skills, able to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.Collaborative mindset, working cross-functionally with Fleet, Operations, Sales, and HR.Qualification & Experience:Membership in a professional accounting body (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent).Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 8–10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, preferably within the automotive, rent-a-car, or dealership industry.Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and treasury operations.
