Impact Hub Yangon is working with international organizations such as UN agencies and also working with large corporations to shape the entrepreneurial community in Myanmar. Our expanding team is looking for a Finance Officer to oversee financial operations, maintain account statements, review and process payments, and ensure accuracy and compliance in day-to-day financial tasks. Roles and Responsibilities The Finance Officer will lead and manage the company’s financial systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all financial operations. This role provides oversight on day-to-day financial processes, supports strategic financial planning, and supervises the Finance Assistant. The position reports directly to the company’s directors. ● Oversee and maintain the company’s financial system, ensuring accurate data entry, reconciliation, and timely reporting. ● Review and submit payment requests for approval, ensuring all transactions comply with financial policies and budget guidelines. ● Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, including regular bank reconciliations and financial documentation.● Supervise and mentor the Finance Assistant, providing guidance and quality checks on routine financial tasks. ● Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring timely collection of quotations, bookings, and processing of payments for services such as travel, accommodation, and venues. ● Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. ● Assist in budget development, monitor expenditure, and report on budget variances. ● Ensure the maintenance of proper financial records for internal control and audit readiness. ● Identify gaps in financial processes, implement solutions, and ensure strong internal control systems. ● Serve as a key contact during audits and contribute to continuous improvements in financial operations. Requirements ● In-depth knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and regulatory standards. ● Strong analytical, budgeting, and financial reporting skills. ● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. ● Able to use Microsoft Office and Google Suites ● Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and managing day-to-day financial operations. ● LCCI Level 3 or above; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. ● High level of integrity, organizational skills, and attention to detail. ● Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.● High level of ethics, empathy and dependability
