Based in Dubai, UAE , we are seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to support our financial operations, corporate accounting, and asset management activities within the global shipping market.Role Description & Key ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.Assist in preparing financial reports, budgeting, and variance analysis related to vessel maintenance, operating expenses, and lifecycle costs.Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to verify financial documentation, invoices, and expense claims.Ensure financial compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and local/international financial regulations.Candidate Qualifications Proven experience as a Finance Assistant, Previous experience working within a maritime or ship management company environment.Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.High level of accuracy, strong numerical skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills. Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
