- Monitor and analyze store and operations financial performance, including sales, cash management, operating expenses, and profitability.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly and periodic financial performance reports for management.
- Analyze financial performance and key variances, identify key business drivers, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to Operations management.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis, business reviews, and special projects as required by management.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data accuracy through automation, data analytics, and digital tools.
- Ensure store and operational financial processes comply with company policies, procedures, and internal control standards.
- Manage and coordinate the month-end closing journal process at store level, including preparation, review, reconciliation, posting, and timely completion of closing entries.
- Monitor and follow up on financial discrepancies, unusual transactions, expense variances, and control issues.
- Review and monitor Cash Pick-Up and Cash Exchange activities to ensure proper controls, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with Accounting, Tax, Procurement, and Operations teams to resolve financial and accounting-related issues.
- Support internal and external audit requirements and ensure timely follow-up on audit findings related to Operations.
- Monitor store operating expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved cost efficiency.
- Work closely with Store Operations teams to ensure sales revenue, cash transactions, and expenses are accurately recorded and properly supported in accordance with company policies.
- Review operational transactions and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy and control.
- Support financial activities related to new store openings, store relocations, and store closures.
- Act as a Finance Business Partner to Operations and relevant stakeholders by providing financial insights and supporting data-driven decision making.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial discipline and improve operational performance.
- Support the financial evaluation of new store openings, relocations, closures, and other network optimization initiatives.
- Support financial analysis for business cases, investment decisions, and operational improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Commercial Finance, or Operations Finance; experience in retail or multi-site operations is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of P&L, financial analysis, cost management, and financial controls.
- Experience in month-end closing and journal processes, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Experience in cash management and operational financial controls is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both Finance and Operations teams.
- Strong Excel and data-analysis skills; experience with Power BI, ERP systems, or financial reporting tools is an advantage.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- Proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to translate financial data into clear and practical business actions.
- Strong integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information.
