Finance Operations Manager

H2Oil is an independent oilfield services group providing well testing, flowback, fluid control and pressure control services to operators across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We run our operational base in Romania, with group companies in the UK and UAE and projects in Israel, Namibia and the wider MENA region.We are looking for a hands-on Finance & Operations Manager, based in Dubai, to keep the books, own the numbers and run purchasing for the whole group. You will report directly to the Managing Director and work with our external accountants in each country.WHAT YOU'LL DOBookkeeping & Accounts- Daily bookkeeping across all group companies: sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, intercompany recharges- Customer invoicing against contracts and field tickets, credit control and debt collection- Supplier invoice matching, payment runs and statement reconciliations- Multi-currency transactions (USD, EUR, GBP, RON, AED)- Equipment fixed asset register and depreciation- Payroll inputs and expense claimsP&L & Reporting- Monthly management accounts and P&L by company and for the group- Job costing: P&L per contract, tracking actual cost and margin against the quoted price- Weekly cash position and rolling 13-week cash flow forecast- Annual budget, forecasts and variance analysisProcurement- Run the purchasing process: RFQs, quote comparison, purchase orders and approvals- Supplier and customer onboarding: vendor forms, credit applications, KYC- Match POs, deliveries and invoices; track orders, freight and customs documents- Negotiate pricing, payment terms and credit limits; maintain an approved supplier listTax, Compliance & Systems- Main contact for external accountants and tax advisers in Romania, the UK and the UAE- Prepare information for VAT returns, UAE corporate tax and year-end accounts- Keep company records, licences and bank mandates up to date- Key user in our Odoo ERP rollout: chart of accounts, purchasing workflows, reporting- Set up finance controls, approval limits and month-end close proceduresWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR- Degree in accounting or finance; ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent (qualified or part-qualified)- 5+ years in hands-on finance roles, from bookkeeping through to management accounts- Background in oilfield services, engineering, contracting or another project-based business- Experience with multiple companies, currencies and countries (EU VAT, UK, UAE corporate tax)- Practical procurement experience- Odoo preferred; Xero, QuickBooks or SAP considered.
