Role PurposeThe Financial Reporting Specialist supports accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the business. Working closely with the Financial Control Team in Türkiye, the role prepares IFRS-based financial statements, validates reporting outputs against accounting records, coordinates audit activities, and strengthens financial controls and reconciliations.Company Brief:It is for a well-established international engineering and construction group with a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure and building projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Its portfolio spans transportation, energy, water, industrial, commercial, and hospitality developments, supported by a multidisciplinary workforce and a commitment to quality, sustainability, and responsible business practices.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare IFRS-compliant financial statements and periodic management reports in accordance with established reporting timelines.Verify that IFRS reporting schedules and financial statement disclosures reconcile to the underlying accounting records and supporting reports.Review monthly TPL financial statements before completion of the month-end close and follow up on identified discrepancies.Coordinate and manage the independent audit process, including the timely preparation and delivery of supporting documentation.Monitor key financial control points and reconciliation procedures to support complete, accurate, and error-free accounting records.Work closely with the Financial Control Team in Türkiye and other relevant stakeholders to resolve reporting and accounting matters.Prepare financial information and ad hoc reports requested by shareholders and senior management, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely delivery.Conduct detailed feasibility assessments, research, and critical analysis relating to financial reporting and tax matters.Identify financial reporting issues, determine root causes, prioritize corrective actions, and develop practical solutions.Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, controls, templates, and related workflows.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.Two to three years of relevant experience in independent audit, budgeting, or financial reporting; experience with a Big Four audit firm is preferred.Sound knowledge of general accounting principles, the uniform chart of accounts, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Practical experience with enterprise resource planning systems; SAP experience is preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong spreadsheet modelling and analytical skills.Fluent written and spoken English.Availability for domestic and international travel, as required.Core CompetenciesStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving capability.High-quality financial analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proactive, collaborative approach with a strong commitment to process improvement and professional development.Clear and professional communication with cross-functional teams, senior management, auditors, and shareholders.
