Financial Accountant

Broad role across financial reporting, statutory compliance and month-end accountCirca $120 - $135,000 + superannuation, commensurate with experiencePermanent opportunity based in Subiaco, near trainline, modern office / buildingReporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across financial accounting, statutory reporting and financial compliance within a well-established resources business.Working closely with both the corporate finance team and operational stakeholders, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting the day-to-day financial management of the business.As you would expect, day-to-day matters will include:Preparing monthly financial reports and management reporting packsCoordinating month-end close including journals, accruals, prepayments and general ledger reconciliationsPreparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining the integrity of the general ledgerManaging fixed asset accounting, depreciation and capital expenditure reportingPreparing and lodging BAS, PAYG, FBT and other statutory obligationsAssisting with statutory financial statements and year-end audit requirementsManaging intercompany accounting and reconciliationsSupporting budgeting and forecasting activitiesLiaising with operational stakeholders, including site finance teams, to ensure timely and accurate financial informationIdentifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reportingAbout YouFinancial Accountant, Senior AccountantDemonstrated experience preparing month-end and year-end financial reportingStrong financial accounting and statutory reporting capabilityGeneral ledger, journals, accruals, reconciliations and fixed asset accounting experienceBAS, PAYG, FBT and Australian statutory compliance experienceExperience within mining, resources or a related industry highly regardedExperience using Pronto or a large ERP system (SAP, Oracle, D365 F&O, Pronto etc.) highly regardedCA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards completionFull Australian working rights are essential.Successful applicants may be required to complete standard pre-employment screening as part of the onboarding process.ParticularsLocation: Subiaco office near trainlineWorking Arrangements: Monday-Friday, full-time, office-based.
