Operating on a range of large-scale commercial, residential and infrastructure projects, the business has built a reputation for delivering high-quality developments and maintaining strong client relationships. Due to continued growth and an increase in project activity, they are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month contract based in Dublin City Centre.Your new role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring accurate financial reporting across the business. Your responsibilities will include:Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities.Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.Supporting statutory reporting and year-end audit requirements.Cash flow monitoring and reporting.Revenue and cost analysis across multiple construction projects.Preparation and submission of VAT, RCT and other regulatory returns.Reviewing financial controls and identifying process improvement opportunities.Business partnering with operational and project teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.Assisting with ad hoc finance projects as required.What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with prior experience in a financial accounting position. You will also possess:Previous experience within the construction, engineering or project-based environment.Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and month-end processes.Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with finance systems.Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.The ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with both finance and operational stakeholders.What you'll get in return In return, you will receive the opportunity to join a highly regarded construction business and gain exposure to a diverse and fast-paced environment.
