Apply & track with Apply EdgeFinancial AccountantLuxury Property DeveloperCronulla location (on-site)Salary to $120k + sThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-capitalised and fast-growing Australian property developer recognised for delivering premium residential developments.Reporting directly to an experienced Chief Financial Officer, you'll become a key member of a small, high-performing finance team where you'll gain broad exposure across financial reporting, project accounting, corporate compliance, process improvement and strategic finance initiatives.This is more than a traditional Financial Accountant role. You'll have the opportunity to help shape finance processes, strengthen controls and contribute to building a scalable finance function that supports the continued growth of the business and work directly with a dynamic and highly entrepreneurial founder.About the opportunityWorking closely with the CFO, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the finance function across multiple entities while supporting the delivery of accurate reporting, strong governance and continuous improvement initiatives.Key responsibilities include:Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reportingMonth-end close, journals, reconciliations and general ledger managementPreparing BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax and assisting with income tax complianceAssisting with statutory financial reporting and year-end audit requirementsMaintaining robust financial controls across multiple entitiesSupporting Board reporting and lender reporting requirementsAssisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reportingDriving finance process improvements and efficienciesSupporting finance systems and reporting enhancementsWorking alongside the CFO on a range of strategic finance projectsAbout youWe're looking for a technically strong accountant who enjoys improving processes, takes ownership of their work and wants to be part of a growing business.You'll ideally have:CA or CPA qualification (or nearing completion)Experience as a Financial Accountant or Senior AccountantStrong financial reporting and month-end experienceExcellent reconciliation and analytical skillsExperience preparing statutory compliance including BAS and IASAdvanced Excel skillsExperience using Xero or similar accounting softwareProperty development, construction or public practice experience will be highly regardedWhy this opportunity?This role offers genuine breadth and exposure rarely found in a financial accountant position.You'll work directly with an experienced CFO, gain exposure across property development, special purpose entities and corporate finance, while playing an important role in building a modern, scalable finance function.There is also opportunity to invest directly in various development, along side many other staff members.If you're looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact, broaden your commercial experience and grow alongside a successful business, please apply.We look forward to talking you through this opportunity.
