This is a newly created position that has been introduced to support the continued growth of the finance function, offering the opportunity to become a trusted technical member of the team over time.Alongside your core financial accounting responsibilities, you'll play an active role in process improvements, systems initiatives and the ongoing consolidation of entities into NetSuite, helping build a more efficient and scalable finance function.Whether you're making your first move from a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm, or you're already working as a Financial Accountant within a similar-sized commercial business, this role offers an excellent platform to continue developing your technical skills while working within a collaborative, long-tenured finance team.Offering hybrid working, flexible start and finish times, and genuine long-term career progression, this is an opportunity to join a stable business that continues to invest in both its people and its finance function.What You'll DoYou'll take ownership of the day-to-day financial accounting for your allocated entity while playing an important role in supporting the continued growth and evolution of the finance function.Working closely with the Regional Finance Manager and wider finance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, delivering month-end reporting and ensuring strong financial controls across the business.Your responsibilities will include:Owning the month-end close for your allocated entity, including journals, accruals, prepayments and general ledger reconciliations.Maintaining balance sheet integrity through accurate reconciliations and financial reporting.Supporting the consolidation of additional business entities into the group's finance systems, including intercompany reconciliations and consolidation activities.Assisting with statutory reporting, audit requirements and compliance obligations.Identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate manual tasks and strengthen financial controls.Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and ensure accurate reporting.Contributing to finance transformation initiatives as the business continues to grow.Gradually expanding your responsibilities across multiple entities while developing into a key technical member of the finance team.Who You AreThis opportunity will suit either a commercially minded Financial Accountant looking for their next challenge or someone ready to make their first move from a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm into industry.You'll be technically strong, enjoy taking ownership and be motivated by the opportunity to work in a broad role where you can continue developing your skills while contributing to a growing finance function.Ideally, you'll bring:CA or CPA qualified, or working towards completion.Previous experience within a Financial Accounting, External Audit or Business Services environment.Strong understanding of month-end processes, journals, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.Experience working with medium to large organisations or clients, ideally within a multi-entity environment.Strong ERP systems experience, with exposure to NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar highly regarded.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and a continuous improvement mindset.Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across the business.Most importantly, you'll be proactive, curious and eager to learn.
