Financial AccountantDuration: Perm (open to temp to perm)Location: Alexandria/MascotSalary: Up to $140,000 package (inc super)Sector: ConstructionWe are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established construction business, reporting directly into the Financial Controller.This is a great opportunity for few different profiles:1) someone currently in a contract role looking for a permanent position2) second mover looking to step into a larger, more complex business, with exposure to larger projects and a broader financial accounting environment3) first movers coming from a Big 4 or mid-tier audit background, particularly those who have experience auditing construction businesses and are looking to make their first move into industry.The RoleWorking closely with the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:Month-end and year-end reportingFinancial accounting and reportingBalance sheet reconciliationsStatutory reporting and complianceSupporting the preparation of financial statementsWorking with external auditorsSupporting the wider finance team across financial accounting and reportingProviding financial insights and analysis to the broader businessAbout YouWe are open to candidates at different stages of their career, provided you have strong technical accounting foundations.Experience within construction is highly regarded, but we are particularly interested in candidates with strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail and a genuine interest in developing their career within industry.What's on offer?Up to $140k package5 days in the officeEstablished construction businessExposure to larger-scale projectsDirect reporting line into the Financial ControllerStrong technical accounting exposureOpportunity to develop within a growing finance functionIf you're a Financial Accountant looking for a larger and more complex environment, or a first mover from audit with construction experience, I'd be keen to have a conversation.Please note this role and organisation cannot offer sponsorship at this time.
