We offer a supportive environment where hard work is recognised, career development is encouraged.About the RoleDue to continued growth within our Finance team and several internal promotions, we are seeking an enthusiastic and commercially minded Financial Accountant to join our team.Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting across the business. Working closely with operational and corporate stakeholders, you will provide accurate financial information, meaningful analysis, and support decision-making across multiple business units.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their accounting career within a large and growing organisation. You will be involved in month-end reporting, statutory compliance, financial analysis, and business partnering activities, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and finance projects that support the broader business.Key ResponsibilitiesManage month-end close activities for assigned business units.Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting and performance analysis.Assist with consolidated reporting and preparation of statutory financial statements.Support budgeting, capital expenditure, and work-in-progress reporting.Prepare BAS, FBT, payroll tax, and other statutory compliance obligations.Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.Liaise with external auditors and assist with audit preparation and reviews.Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting.Provide financial support to site management and administration teams.Coach and support junior members of the finance team.About YouYou are a proactive and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and delivering high-quality financial information. You combine strong technical accounting skills with a practical approach and thrive in a fast-paced environment.You will bring:A degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.CA or CPA qualification (or be actively working towards completion).Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar accounting role.Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS, and statutory reporting requirements.Experience preparing BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and other compliance reporting.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to delivering accurate, timely outcomes.Highly RegardedExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP system.Previous experience in a multi-site or multi-entity environment.Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.Experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting processes.Leadership or mentoring experience.Experience leveraging AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.Why Join Us?Work in a growing and dynamic business.Be part of a collaborative and supportive finance team.Gain exposure to a diverse and complex national operation.Ongoing learning, development, and career growth opportunities.Competitive remuneration and benefits.Apply now
