Financial Accountant

This opportunity is with our client — a leading packaging manufacturing company in the UAE, looking for a hands-on Financial Accountant / Financial Controller to support a key financial data remediation and reconciliation project.Key Responsibilities:Reconcile General Ledger (GL) balances with AP, AR and Inventory subledgersInvestigate historical reconciliation differences and identify root causesReview underlying transactions and supporting documentationRemap balances where historical postings have not flowed correctly through subledgersSupport required corrective and adjustment journal entriesReview other material balance sheet reconciliations as requiredEnsure accurate alignment of financial data within the ERP systemPrepare clear reconciliation schedules and supporting documentationEstablish and document effective reconciliation processes and controlsLeave behind a clean, accurate and controlled set of financial dataRequirements:7+ years of relevant finance/accounting experienceExperience as a Financial Controller, Financial Accountant, Senior Accountant or similarStrong hands-on experience in GL, AP, AR, Inventory and balance sheet reconciliationsProven experience investigating and resolving historical accounting discrepanciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsComfortable working at transaction level and independently resolving complex reconciliation issuesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsD365 F&O experience is highly desirableManufacturing/industrial sector experience is an advantageCandidates available immediately or on short notice are preferred
