Financial Accountant – Financial Services

Location: Dublin, IrelandAbout the RoleAn established financial services organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its growing finance team in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or recently qualified accountant to develop their technical accounting expertise within a dynamic, regulated environment.The successful candidate will play an important role in financial reporting, month-end processes, statutory accounts and financial controls, while working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare and review balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies where necessary.Support the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.Assist with regulatory and financial reporting requirements applicable to the business.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across the organisation.Support internal and external audit processes, providing documentation and responding to audit queries.Maintain effective financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis where required.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting procedures and financial systems.Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information.Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and other duties as required.About YouThe ideal candidate will be a motivated accounting professional with a strong technical foundation and an interest in developing their career within the financial services sector.

Requirements
