Role DescriptionThe Financial Analyst / Investment Analyst / Research Analyst will support financial research, market analysis, investment evaluation, and business performance assessment by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting financial and market information. The role focuses on transforming complex financial data into clear insights that can support strategic planning, investment evaluation, reporting, and informed decision-making.Key responsibilities include researching companies, industries, markets, financial instruments, and economic developments using reliable financial databases, company reports, market publications, regulatory filings, and other approved sources. The role will collect and organize financial information and evaluate relevant trends, risks, opportunities, and performance indicators.The position will analyze financial statements, revenue trends, expenses, cash flows, profitability, valuation metrics, market data, and other relevant financial information. Responsibilities may include preparing financial models, forecasts, valuation analyses, scenario assessments, and comparative company or industry reviews.The role will support investment and business research by evaluating potential opportunities, reviewing market conditions, analyzing competitive environments, and identifying factors that may influence financial performance. The analyst may contribute to research reports, investment summaries, financial presentations, and recommendations based on available evidence.Additional responsibilities include monitoring financial markets, economic developments, industry trends, company announcements, and relevant regulatory changes. The role may prepare periodic reports, dashboards, presentations, market updates, and analytical summaries for internal stakeholders.The successful candidate should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, commercially aware, and comfortable working with financial information. Strong critical-thinking and research skills are essential for evaluating data, identifying meaningful trends, understanding potential risks, and developing well-supported conclusions.The role also requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as financial findings and research conclusions must be presented clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Investment Management, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.Strong understanding of financial analysis, accounting principles, financial markets, investment concepts, and business performance.Ability to analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar financial analysis tools.Familiarity with financial databases, market research platforms, company filings, economic data sources, and investment research tools.Understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, valuation methods, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.Familiarity with valuation approaches such as discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, and relevant financial multiples is advantageous.Strong research and information-gathering skills with the ability to evaluate the reliability and relevance of financial sources.Ability to analyze company performance, industry trends, market conditions, competitive activity, and economic developments.Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and market data.Ability to identify trends, risks, opportunities, anomalies, and relationships within financial information.Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools is advantageous.Strong attention to detail when reviewing financial figures, calculations, assumptions, reports, and research materials.Ability to prepare financial models, research reports, investment summaries, presentations, dashboards, and analytical documentation.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts and analytical findings clearly.Understanding of confidentiality, financial data handling, research integrity, and responsible use of market information.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple research, reporting, and analytical assignments.Ability to work collaboratively with finance, investment, research, strategy, management, and other business teams.Proactive and intellectually curious approach with a strong interest in financial markets, business performance, investment research, and economic developments.
