Financial Analyst – Manufacturing FinanceLocation: San Francisco Bay Area, CAWork Arrangement: Fully Onsite – 5 Days/WeekEmployment Type: Full-TimeSeniority: Entry Level / AssociatePosition SummaryWe are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our finance organization and support business unit leadership within a manufacturing environment. This position will provide financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, process improvement, and operational support while developing a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and financial performance.The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of finance, FP&A, accounting, or manufacturing finance experience, excellent analytical skills, and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities. Candidates should be comfortable working with large datasets, building financial models, analyzing variances, and presenting financial insights to business leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with business unit leaders to provide financial analysis and support operational decision-making.Develop financial models for forecasting, pricing, profitability, capital investments, and labor productivity.Analyze monthly financial results and investigate budget-to-actual variances.Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range financial planning.Perform financial and operational analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and cost improvements.Develop and improve financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.Automate manual reporting processes and improve data quality and reporting efficiency.Support management reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and presentations.Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, and accounting teams.Support month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance-sheet analysis.Assist with internal and external audits and internal-control activities.Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, cost drivers, and plant financial performance.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.1–5 years of professional experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or manufacturing finance.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to build and explain financial models.Manufacturing or industrial finance experience strongly preferred.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience working with ERP systems and large datasets.Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Must be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week in the San Francisco Bay Area.Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.Preferred QualificationsExperience with standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis.Experience with Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.Exposure to month-end close and financial controls.Experience supporting plant operations, supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing leadership.Continuous improvement/process automation experience.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is an early-career finance professional who wants to build a long-term career in manufacturing finance. They should be hands-on, analytical, highly proficient in Excel, comfortable working with data, and able to demonstrate their technical Excel skills during the interview.
