Financial Analyst | North SydneyWe are currently searching for a full-time Financial Analyst on behalf of an established and well-regarded consulting firm based in North Sydney.Our client partners with organisations across Australia and internationally, delivering specialist consulting and assessment solutions to large global companies as well as local businesses.This is a varied finance role offering exposure across financial reporting, financial analysis, business systems and process improvement. It would suit someone with 2-3 years’ finance experience who is analytical, commercially minded, and confident working with systems and data.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day transactional accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and general accounting tasksSupport month-end close activities and the preparation of management reportingPrepare accurate and timely financial reports and analysisRespond to client enquiries and liaise with clients and external stakeholdersMaintain and improve reporting templates, financial processes and data qualityPrepare ad-hoc analysis and reporting for internal and external stakeholdersDevelop business analytics and commercial analysis across products and servicesAssist with the ongoing development and improvement of CRM and financial systemsDevelop and maintain CRM and financial systems, improving controls, invoicing efficiency, user experience and data integrityIdentify opportunities for systems improvement, automation and greater business efficiencySkills & ExperienceThis role will suit someone with at least 3 years’ experience in a finance role, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce (Accounting) or a relevant discipline.You will also bring:Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skillsExceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracyAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with Power Query and Power BIExperience using automation and AI to support continuous process improvementStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong systems capability, with the ability to quickly learn new applications and adapt to changing technologiesA proactive approach to improving processes, systems and efficienciesPrevious experience in a medium-sized corporate organisation would be highly regardedThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful organisation offering hybrid working, competitive remuneration and the opportunity to make a genuine impact across finance, analytics and business systems.Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia.
