Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Vice President of Procurement is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement function for KLSD INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED. This position oversees the development and execution of procurement strategies for mining and metals, including sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and cost management. Day-to-day tasks include managing supplier relationships, driving supplier development initiatives, coordinating with supply chain and operations teams, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves monitoring market trends, assessing risks, optimizing inventory and logistics, and implementing best practices and digital tools to improve transparency, efficiency, and value. The Vice President of Procurement will also mentor procurement teams, set performance targets, and collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting and strategic planning.QualificationsStrong procurement and supply chain management skills, including experience in strategic sourcing within mining or metals sectors.Proficiency in contract negotiation and contract management, with a track record of securing favorable terms and managing contractual risks.Experience in supplier development, including evaluating, onboarding, and improving supplier performance and reliability.Ability to design and implement procurement policies, processes, and governance frameworks that support efficiency and compliance.Relevant bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are advantageous.Demonstrated leadership experience managing distributed or remote teams, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making, budgeting, cost analysis, and use of ERP/procurement software.Experience working in or with mining and metals industries, with understanding of global commodity markets and associated risks.
