Employment Type: Full-timeReports To: Head of FinanceJob SummaryWe are seeking a commercially minded Financial Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and management reporting.The successful candidate will analyze financial and operational data, develop financial models, monitor key performance indicators, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights that support business decision-making.

Experience in retail, FMCG, consumer goods, or a similar commercial environment will be an advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range financial plans.Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, inventory turnover, margins, and profitability.Analyze financial and operational performance by store, product category, channel, or business unit.Support the FP&A Lead in preparing accurate, insightful, and board-ready monthly performance reports.Conduct monthly variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast and provide meaningful commentary.Develop and maintain dynamic Excel-based financial models for budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, pricing, and promotional activities.Monitor key performance indicators including sales per store, average transaction value, gross margin, profitability, and inventory turnover.Identify financial trends, risks, opportunities, and performance gaps and communicate actionable insights.Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Operations, and other internal departments to support business decisions.Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for senior management.Ensure financial reports and work files are accurate, timely, and reliable.Perform other finance and analytical responsibilities assigned by the Head of Finance.RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.Professional accounting/finance qualification is an advantage.ExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Analysis, Corporate Finance, Management Accounting, or a related role.Experience in FMCG, retail, consumer goods, or another commercially driven industry is preferred.Technical SkillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is essential.Strong experience with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modelling, formulas, and data analysis.Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is desirable.Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is desirable.Core CompetenciesStrong financial and analytical skills.Ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into actionable business insights.Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance-analysis capability.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple business functions.Key Performance IndicatorsTimeliness and accuracy of financial reports.Quality, accuracy, and usability of financial models and work files.Accuracy and depth of financial analysis.Quality of variance analysis and management commentary.Effectiveness of insights provided to support business decisions.
