Consultants remain hands-on with analytics while developing the ability to gather requirements, understand business processes, structure ambiguous problems, communicate with clients and deliver practical recommendations.Management analytics and storytelling. The team values professionals who can move beyond simply producing reports or models and explain what the data actually means — what changed, why it matters, what management should focus on and what action should follow.Broad technology exposure. Projects can involve dashboards, workflow automation, data transformation, data integration, predictive analytics, data warehouses and governance, providing exposure to a much broader technology set than many traditional analytics roles.Strong long-term career runway. The practice is growing and provides a realistic path toward Manager and increasingly significant project, client and practice-development responsibilities. Promotion to Manager also introduces participation in the firm's long-term incentive/equity program.Variety across clients and industries. The firm's advisory model creates exposure to multiple companies, industries, finance organizations and business problems, providing a faster learning curve than working within one corporate analytics environment.Role ScopeThe Financial Analytics Advisory Associate will support client engagements focused on improving how finance and business teams use data, reporting, analytics and automation.

Responsibilities

Analyze financial, accounting, operational and transactional data to support management reporting and business decision-making.Develop dashboards, visualizations, reports and analytics solutions that translate complex data into actionable insights for CFOs, finance leaders and business stakeholders.Use R to perform analysis, modeling and other data-driven work.Transform, cleanse, validate and reconcile financial and operational datasets.Support data preparation, ETL and data-integration workflows.Design and support workflow automation initiatives using low-code, no-code and code-based technologies.Work directly with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate those requirements into practical analytics, reporting and automation solutions.Support finance, accounting, FP&A and operational reporting initiatives.Develop client-ready analyses, presentations, dashboards and recommendations.Assist with process-improvement and broader business-transformation initiatives.Collaborate with senior engagement professionals and client teams to deliver high-quality client service.

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, finance transformation, business transformation, data engineering and/or analytics consulting.Hands-on professional experience with R is required for the current opening.Meaningful experience applying analytics within an accounting, finance, FP&A or financially oriented business environment.Prior client-service, consulting or professional-services experience.Experience developing dashboards, reporting, automation or analytics solutions that support business and management decision-making.Ability to understand the underlying business problem and translate it into a useful analytical or technology solution.Experience with additional technologies such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Power Automate, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS and/or similar platforms is valued.Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering or another relevant quantitative field preferred.CPA or other relevant professional certification is a plus.Location / Work ModelThe position is designed to be remote-first, with optional access to offices in major U.S. markets for professionals who prefer a hybrid environment.Most analytical work and client interaction can be handled virtually, while employees may participate in selected client meetings, team events, trainings, retreats and other in-person activities when appropriate.ConfidentialityThis search is being conducted confidentially.
