JOB SUMMARY:The Financial Business Analyst plays a critical role in analysing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making and financial planning within the company. Their primary focus is on analysing financial performance, forecasting future trends, conducting cost-benefit analysis, and recommending actions to improve financial outcomes.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance metrics, to assess the company's financial health and identify areas for improvement.Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and providing accurate financial projections.Cost Management: Analyse cost structures, profitability, and cost-saving opportunities, recommending strategies to optimize costs, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability.Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, highlighting key financial metrics, performance indicators, and actionable insights.Risk Management: Identify financial risks, such as market risks, credit risks, and operational risks, assess their potential impact, and collaborate with risk management teams to develop mitigation strategies.Business Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial performance, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and cost management, providing regular updates and analysis to stakeholders.Financial Planning and Strategy: Assist in developing financial budgets, strategic initiatives, and business strategies, providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making at the executive level.Data Analysis and Modelling: Utilize financial software, databases, and tools to gather and analyse financial data, conduct scenario analysis, and create financial models to support planning and decision-making.Financial Communication: Communicate financial analysis findings, insights, and recommendations effectively to executives, finance teams, and department heads, to drive informed decision-making.EXPERIENCE:• 3+ years in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost management.• Exposure to business performance tracking and collaboration with cross-functional teams.SKILLS:• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities• Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel & financial software• Effective communication & presentation skills• Attention to detail and accuracy• Ability to develop and track financial KPIsKNOWLEDGE:• Financial planning, budgeting & forecasting processes• Cost-benefit analysis & profitability assessments• Financial reporting standards & compliance• Risk identification & mitigation strategies• Business performance metrics & data-driven decision making
