Apply & track with Apply EdgeFinancial Controller / Accounting Analyst – Group CFO SupportRole Purpose: The Financial Controller / Financial AccountingAnalyst will act as a strategic finance partner and “right hand” to the Group CFO. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data by verifying cost allocations (by item and cost center) and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The role will support financial planning and decision-making by delivering accurate, timely reports and actionable insights to senior leadershipKey ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Close Process: Lead the end-to-end financial reporting cycle (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual). Prepare and communicate financial KPIs and reports for the Group using the dedicated reporting tool. Manage and continuously improve the monthly closing process. Present results and variance analysis to management and the Executive Board, highlighting key trends and insights.Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning: Team member in the development of the annual budget, medium-term plan, and rolling forecasts. Structure and maintain the planning process to ensure consistency and accuracy. Actively contribute to forecast preparation (monthly landing forecasts, yearly rolling forecasts) and update cost/return analyses. Take ownership of internal reporting for budget preparation and performance monitoring.Financial Modeling & Analysis: Design, implement, and enhance robust financial models and analysis tools to support business needs. Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and studies on specific projects or business initiatives. Improve existing reports and develop new analytics to support the Automation Project and other efficiency initiatives. Use advanced Excel, Power BI and other data tools to automate processes and adapt reporting to evolving requirements.Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Controls: Regularly review together with the accounting department the accounting data, ensuring all accounts are accurate and complete. Verify cost allocations by item and cost center to validate expense reporting. Maintain strong internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial statements.CFO Collaboration & Finance Partnering: Serve as a close partner to the Group CFO, anticipating information needs and supporting strategic decision-making. Work collaboratively with finance and accounting departments to provide financial statements, reporting enhancements, and analyses. Initiate and monitor optimization measures across finance processes. Communicate confidently across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment on financial goals and changes.Candidate ProfileEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Controlling qualification is a plus.Experience: Several years of relevant experience in financial reporting, FP&A (financial planning & analysis), or controlling, ideally within a multinational environment. Prior involvement in group reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
Strong financial acumen with in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas) and experience with financial modeling. Familiarity with ERP systems and corporate reporting tools; experience with automation solutions or BI tools is a strong asset. Comfortable preparing professional reports and presentations (Word, PowerPoint).Analytical & Communication Skills: Highly analytical mindset and excellent numerical skills with the ability to structure complex topics and data. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Assertive yet professional communicator, capable of articulating financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven presentation skills and confidence in addressing executive audiences.Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and organized, able to work independently and within tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs. Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments. Proactive in identifying risks and opportunities.Languages & Working Conditions: Fluent in English (spoken and written) is required; other languages are a plus. This is an on-site role requiring presence at the company’s office at least four days per week.
