Financial Controller " Agriculture "

Role DescriptionDevelop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals, objectives, and long-term business plans.Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, financial forecasts, and management reports.Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identify variances, initiate corrective actions, and minimize financial impact.Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.Lead, manage, and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.Manage cash flow, working capital, investments, and liquidity to optimize the organization’s financial position and ensure adequate funding for operations.Conduct financial and operational risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management and mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s assets.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Procurement, Sales, and Management, to improve financial performance, cost efficiency, and profitability.Communicate financial performance, key business insights, risks, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders to support informed decision-making.Oversee the effective use of ERP and financial systems, ensuring data accuracy, financial controls, and efficient reporting processes.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional Experience: At least 8–10 years of hands-on experience in financial management, preferably within an agricultural organization, agriculture, or agribusiness environment. Experience in F&B production environments is also highly beneficial.Accounting & Finance: Strong accounting and finance skills, with a solid understanding of agricultural business processes and operations.Financial Statements & Reporting: Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and financial reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Financial Analysis & Data: Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and business data and provide actionable recommendations to support management decision-making.ERP & Software: Proficiency in ERP systems or accounting software, with strong Microsoft Excel skills, particularly in financial modeling, data management, and analysis.Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and different departments.Attention to Detail & Integrity: Strong attention to detail, high level of professional integrity, accuracy, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Languages: Excellent English communication skills. Arabic proficiency is an advantage, particularly for local coordination.Professional Certifications: Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are considered an advantage.ERP Familiarity: Familiarity with ERP systems is an additional advantage, particularly in financial and accounting applications.
