Financial Controller

Our client, a reputable organization in the Financial Services industry, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and support strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capability, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of UAE financial regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight — Lead daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all activities.Financial Reporting — Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with regulatory standards.Budgeting & Forecasting — Develop budgets, monitor performance, and provide financial forecasts.Cash Flow Management — Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and financial risk mitigation.Audit Coordination — Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of required documentation.Compliance — Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations, VAT requirements, and industry standards.Process Improvement — Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and operational efficiency.Team Leadership — Supervise accounting teams, provide guidance, and support professional development.RequirementsExperience — 6–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably within financial services.Education — Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.Technical Skills — Strong proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.Analytical Skills — Ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.Attention to Detail — High accuracy in financial entries, reconciliations, and reporting.Communication — Clear communication skills for internal coordination and stakeholder reporting.UAE Regulations — Strong understanding of VAT, compliance, and local accounting standards.
