Financial Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced finance leader to oversee all financial and fiscal management aspects of the region. The role will be responsible for driving financial planning & analysis, taxation, compliance, internal controls, risk management, treasury, and business partnering initiatives to support sustainable growth and profitability.The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic finance partner to the leadership team, providing actionable insights, ensuring regulatory compliance, and establishing robust financial governance across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Business PartneringLead regional financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processesAnalyze business performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making and growth initiativesPartner with functional leaders to develop operating plans and monitor key business and financial KPIsDrive performance reviews and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability and operational efficiencyPresent financial results, forecasts, and business insights to senior leadershipFinancial Analysis & ReportingConduct periodic financial analysis to assess organizational performance and identify opportunities for improvementAnalyze cash flow, working capital, costs, and operating expenses to support business decisionsMonitor and evaluate financial statements to identify risks, exposures, and mitigation strategiesEnsure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsTaxation, Compliance & GovernancEnsure full compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirementsDevelop and execute effective tax planning strategies for the regionManage relationships with tax authorities, statutory auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal auditorsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirementsControls & Risk ManagemenDesign, implement, and continuously improve internal control frameworks, policies, and SOPsStrengthen financial governance and risk management practices across the organizationIdentify financial, operational, and compliance risks and implement mitigation measuresEnsure accounting records and book-keeping are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standardsTreasury & Forex ManagemenManage cash flow planning, liquidity requirements, and working capital optimizationOversee banking relationships and treasury operationsMonitor foreign exchange exposures and implement appropriate hedging strategies to minimize riskTeam LeadershipLead and develop the regional finance team.Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.Build finance capabilities that support the organization's growth objectives.Qualifications & ExperienceChartered Accountant (CA) preferredBachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related disciplineExperience10–15 years of progressive finance experiencePrior experience within Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Goods, Retail, Healthcare, or FMCG industriesMinimum 3 years of experience in a Regional Finance Business Partner, Finance Controller, or equivalent leadership rolStrong exposure to FP&A, taxation, compliance, internal controls, treasury, and business finance
