Financial Controller | High-Growth EdTech Mobile AppLocation: London - HybridSalary: £75,000-£85,000 + Bonus / EquityPosition: Full-timeTalentedge is partnering with a fast-growing, VC-backed EdTech mobile app that is entering an exciting phase of UK and international expansion.Following significant investment and continued growth across its user base, subscription revenues and global markets, the business is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to strengthen its finance function and build the infrastructure required for its next stage of growth.Reporting to the CFO, this is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for financial control, reporting, planning and team development. You will work closely with the founders and senior leadership team, ensuring the business has accurate financial information, scalable processes and robust controls as it continues to grow.The RoleOwn the month-end close and production of accurate monthly management accountsLead statutory reporting, audit, tax, VAT and wider compliance requirementsManage cashflow forecasting, working capital and treasury processesMaintain strong balance sheet controls and reconciliation processesOversee revenue recognition across subscription, app-store and digital revenue streamsImprove financial controls, accounting policies and reporting processesSupport budgeting, forecasting and long-range planningProduce clear financial reporting for the CFO, Board and investorsPartner with Product, Growth, Marketing and Operations teams on financial performanceProvide analysis across subscriber growth, customer acquisition, retention, lifetime value and profitabilityLead finance systems implementation, automation and reporting improvementsManage and develop members of the finance teamSupport fundraising, due diligence and international expansion projectsAbout YouQualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMAStrong financial control and management reporting experienceExperience within EdTech, mobile apps, subscriptions, consumer technology or another high-growth digital businessStrong understanding of recurring revenue models and revenue recognitionComfortable operating in a hands-on role within a scaling, entrepreneurial environmentStrong knowledge of statutory reporting, audit, tax and financial controlsConfident partnering with senior stakeholders across both finance and non-finance teamsStrong systems, process improvement and team management capabilitiesWhy Join?This is an opportunity to join an ambitious, purpose-led technology business at a pivotal stage of its development.
