Financial Controller

A well-established Dallas-based General Contractor is looking to add a Controller to the team. This is a hands-on position reporting directly to ownership, offering broad exposure across accounting, operations, cash flow management, and office administration within a family-owned construction business.Key ResponsibilitiesManage month-end and year-end close processesProduce financial statements, WIP reports, and cash flow forecastsTrack project costs against budgets and backlogOversee AP/AR, subcontractor invoicing, and client pay applicationsMaintain compliance across accounting, insurance, tax, and benefits functionsAssist with internal controls, reconciliations, and operational processesSupport onboarding, benefits administration, and office operationsWhat They’re Looking For5+ years of accounting experience within construction/general contractingStrong understanding of job costing and WIP reportingExperience with Sage, ADP, and Excel is a mustBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferredSomeone comfortable in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environmentAdditional InfoFully on-site in DallasTypical hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
