Financial Controller | High-Growth FMCG Business£70,000 – £75,000Bromley | HybridTalentedge is partnering with a fast-growing FMCG business to appoint a Financial Controller.The business has an established product portfolio, a growing customer base and ambitious plans for its next stage of growth. With increasing complexity across inventory, supply chain, customer profitability and margin management, they are looking for a commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function.This is a broad role combining financial control, FP&A and commercial finance, with significant exposure to senior leadership and the wider business.The RoleYou’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while providing the commercial insight needed to support continued growth.Key responsibilities will include:Ownership of monthly management accounts and reportingBudgeting, forecasting and cash flow managementGross margin, pricing and product profitability analysisCustomer and channel profitability reportingWorking closely with Sales, Operations and Supply Chain teamsInventory, stock and working capital managementAnalysis of COGS, supplier costs and margin movementsSupporting pricing decisions and promotional activityImproving month-end, controls and financial processesBalance sheet ownership and reconciliationsManaging year-end audit and statutory reportingDeveloping management information and KPI reportingSupporting senior leadership with commercial decision-makingDriving systems, reporting and process improvements as the business scalesIdeally, you will:Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifiedHave experience within FMCG, food & beverage, consumer products or another product-led businessUnderstand inventory, gross margin, COGS and working capitalHave strong management accounting and financial control experienceBe commercially minded and comfortable challenging non-finance stakeholdersHave experience with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow managementEnjoy working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentBe comfortable balancing hands-on finance with higher-level commercial analysisWhy Join?This is an opportunity to join a growing FMCG business at a stage where finance can have a genuine impact on how the company scales.You’ll work closely with senior leadership and play a key role across margin management, commercial performance, supply chain finance and financial control, while helping develop a more sophisticated finance function.
