This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and business strategy.You will be responsible for:Bringing financial disciplineEnsuring clean processes (PO–GRN–Invoice–Payment)Managing vendor payments and cash flowBuilding actionable MIS across product, category, and operationsThis is a high ownership role with direct visibility to the founder and leadership team.Key Responsibilities1. Financial Control & Process SetupEstablish and enforce 3-way matching (PO–GRN–Invoice)Build and streamline purchase-to-payment workflowsEnsure accurate and timely bookkeeping and reconciliationsMaintain clean vendor ledgers and expense tracking systemsDrive audit readiness and compliance processes2. Vendor Payments & Cash Flow ManagementPrepare and manage weekly payment plansPrioritise vendor payments based on cash flow and business needsHandle vendor communication for payment timelines and negotiationsEnsure no duplicate or incorrect paymentsImprove and manage working capital cycles3. MIS & Business InsightsBuild and own weekly/monthly MIS dashboardsTrack:SKU-level marginsCategory profitabilityRaw material cost trendsWastage and efficiency metricsStore/channel performanceTranslate financial data into actionable insights for business decisions4. ERP & Data IntegrityOwn accuracy and structure of ERP/accounting dataWork with internal teams to ensure clean data flowsBuild reporting frameworks from ERP outputs5. Team & Cross-functional CoordinationManage and guide:Accounts Executive (data entry)Reconciliation ExecutiveWork closely with:Purchase teamWarehouseProductionOperationsWhat We’re Looking ForExperience5–8 years in finance roles (FMCG / manufacturing / D2C preferred)Experience in vendor payments, reconciliations, and MIS reportingStrong understanding of operational financeSkillsStrong Excel / Google Sheets skillsComfortable working with ERP systemsAbility to handle vendor conversations confidentlyStrong attention to detail and ownership mindsetAbility to work in a fast-paced, evolving environmentEducation (Flexible)B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA
