Financial ControllerA fast-growing, PE-backed business is seeking a Financial Controller to play a key leadership role in evolving its finance function. Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, commercial environment.Main duties:Lead the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts, supported by full variance analysisDrive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and controls, with a focus on automation and efficiencyMaintain effective day-to-day cash management and forecasting, ensuring strong controls over payments, bank reconciliations and working capitalPartner with the CFO on Board reporting, budgeting and forecasting, finance transformation and key business initiativesLead and develop the finance team, promoting high performance, accountability and continuous improvementEnsure compliance across tax (VAT, PAYE/PRSI, Corporation Tax), statutory reporting and the annual auditThe person:Qualified accountant, ideally practice trained, with 5+ years' PQE in a fast-paced commercial environmentExperience working in an sme environmentProven ability to lead, develop and motivate a finance teamStrong technical and analytical skills, with a practical approach to problem solving and process improvementStrong communicator, comfortable working across the business and with investors and external advisersHighly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlinesSalary: €105k plus benefits.
