Financial Controller - Manchester JSS are pleased to be exclusively supporting our client, a high growth UK subsidiary of a leading international business on the recruitment of a newly created Financial Controller role based in Manchester. This is an ideal role for a fully qualified Finance Manager or Controller with experience managing month end and year end, balance sheet, management reporting and audit in a fast growing SME business. This number two role in finance will own the P&L and Balance Sheet and help the business through an exciting period of growth for the 3-4 years.Role OverviewThe Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring accurate month end reporting, robust controls, strong cash flow management, and compliance with statutory requirements. As a key member of the finance leadership team, the role will provide commercial insight to support business growth and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reporting.Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies and procedures.Manage balance sheet reconciliations and oversee ledger integrity.Lead the annual statutory accounts process and external auditLead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and IFRSAct as the technical accounting lead for the business.Support statutory accounts preparation and Group reporting requirements.Produce rolling forecasts and variance analysis.Provide detailed commentary on business performance and key financial driversOptimise working capital, including debtor, creditor and inventory managementEnsure compliance with all statutory, VAT, tax and regulatory requirementsProfile & ExperienceQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)It is an advantage to have trained in AuditProven Manager or Controller experience within an SME or growing business environmentStrong understanding of balance sheet, financial reporting, controls and IFRS and UK GAAPExperience managing budgeting, forecasting and cash-flowOn Offer:A highly competitive salary of circa £90,000-100,000 plus bonus and benefitsHybrid working
