Financial Controller

Role Description The Financial Controller is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees financial operations, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards. The Financial Controller will manage budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor cash flow, and provide regular financial reporting to the leadership team. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, supporting decision-making with clear insights, coordinating with external partners (such as accountants or auditors), and recommending improvements to financial processes and controls. The role also involves supporting event and operational planning with sound financial guidance.QualificationsStrong accounting and finance skills, including experience with Accounting principles and Finance fundamentals.Ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements and perform accurate Financial Reporting.Demonstrated Analytical Skills for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and decision support.Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial software; comfort working with data and basic reporting tools.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).Experience in a controller, finance manager, or similar role within small organizations, non-profits, or communities is beneficial.Attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid setup.Effective communication skills and the ability to present financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
