Financial Controller

Job Description

A rapidly expanding Data and AI Consulting firm, supporting clients through the strategic use of data analytics and AI, is currently seeking a Financial Controller (Number 1 finance role) reporting to the group CFO with dotted lines into the COO and CEO.The ideal candidate is someone who wants to work in a demanding start up environment supporting growth and development across multiple geographies. Our client is looking for an individual with an AI first mentality to use the latest technology and develop automation within the business.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be fully responsible for end-to-end finance operations including:

• P&L/Balance Sheet
• AR & AP
• Payroll & HR
• VAT and Tax
• Management Accounts
• Cash Management
• Financial Dashboards & Process Improvement
• FP&A processes, including investor reporting.Required Skills and Experience:Technical Proficiency, Big 4 trained, Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 3 - 5 years PQE.
• Organisation and Workload Management: Highly organised with the ability to handle a demanding workload, balancing multiple priorities effectively.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior stakeholders across finance and non-finance teams.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Comfortable working with cross-time-zone teams, adapting to evolving business needs, and willing to provide support in fast-paced environments.
• Analytical and Process-Oriented: A detail-oriented approach with a strong aptitude for identifying areas for process improvements and challenging the status quo where appropriate.Personal Attributes:
