Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition Summary:A financial controller plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations at Plant Digital, ensuring the company's financial health, the accuracy of its reports, and compliance with relevant regulations.Roles & Responsibilities 1. Accounting/ Financial Reporting:- Supervising monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, along with financial reporting.- Managing the company’s cash flow to ensure adequate funds for daily operations.- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.- Preparing and managing executive management reports and addressing related queries.- Handling ad-hoc reports and tasks assigned by executive management.2. Budgeting and Forecasting:- Contributing to the development of annual budgets and business plans.- Overseeing the management of annual budgets and financial forecasts.- Monitoring financial performance in relation to the budget and implementing adjustments as necessary.3. Audit & Tax:- Overseeing and coordinating audit activities, including statutory audits, IKTVA, and local content audits.- Collaborating with external auditors to finalize audit reports.- Supervising the finalization and submission of tax returns in coordination with the company’s tax advisors (Zakat, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and VAT).- Reviewing returns for filing with ZATCA.- Leading and managing teams responsible for ZATCA assessments and queries.4. Compliance and Risk Management:- Ensuring adherence to accounting principles and regulatory standards.- Ensuring compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.- Establishing and maintaining internal financial controls to prevent fraud and errors.- Identifying financial risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.- Offering guidance on managing financial risks and capitalizing on opportunities.5. People Management:- Supervising and managing the finance team, including accountants and other financial staff.- Ensuring the team is well-trained, motivated, and aligned with organizational goals.Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.
- Accounting qualifications such as CMA, CPA, CA, etc. is preferable.
- Problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication in English
- Stakeholder management skills and an ability to connect with people to drive successful relationships.
- Ability to work with key stakeholders and direct colleagues through collaboration & teamwork in a non-hierarchical relationship framework.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance/accounting
- A minimum of 3 years in a team leading position.
