Financial Controller

A well-established and reputable organisation is looking to hire an experienced Financial Controller to join their senior management team. The role is based in County Roscommon.This is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for the overall finance function, while also providing financial and commercial support to senior management and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.

Responsibilities

Oversee the overall financial management and reporting function.Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.Prepare and submit bi-monthly VAT returns.Ensure accurate and timely weekly payroll processing.Lead and develop a finance team.Strengthen financial controls, accounting processes and internal procedures.Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency.Provide financial insight and commercial support to senior management.

Requirements

Qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Accountant, Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior role.Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of current accounting standards.Proven team management and leadership experience.Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.A proactive approach to process improvement and financial controls.For more info, contact Niamh Cregg0719149732
