Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Office-based, Battersea, SW11Salary: £100,000 - £125,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:30pm

Employment Type: Full-timeWe’re a family-run property business looking for a capable, hands-on Financial Controller to support and oversee the financial side of the business.

This role suits someone with solid accounting and finance experience who understands how a property business operates, is commercially minded and highly organised. You’ll play an important role in ensuring the financial side of the business runs smoothly, accurately, and efficiently.The successful candidate must have prior experience in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance role. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-moving and growing environment.Key Responsibilities· Ownership and oversight of management accounting across the property portfolio.· Responsibility for statutory financial reporting and financial accounting processes.· Ensure robust financial controls, processes, and reporting standards across the business.· Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.· Maintain strong governance and documentation across all finance functions.· Manage transactional finance, reporting, and property accounting.· Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and improve overall financial efficiency across the business.· VAT returns · Filing accounts · Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and other transactional finance processes.· Ensure efficient systems, controls, and scalability as the portfolio continues to grow.· Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systemsQualifications & Experience· ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.· Ideally trained through a top-tier audit firm or leading audit scheme.· Post-qualification experience ideally in a high-growth, medium-sized business environment.· Proven management experience with responsibility for developing finance teams.Personal Attributes· Highly motivated, ambitious, and intellectually curious.· Hands-on with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.· Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders.· Keen to continue learning and developing within a dynamic property business.
