Financial Controller

The business Our client is a NYSE business with a global footprint and rapidly growing presence in the region. Now seeking a Regional Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting and accounting as well as supporting effective financial planning across its growing APAC operations.This is an opportunity to combine technical accounting, regional reporting and team leadership within a global business. You will work closely with finance leaders across multiple markets and overseas corporate stakeholders, helping strengthen reporting processes and controls as the region expands. The roleReporting to the regional finance leadership team, you will oversee market reporting submissions and group consolidation, ensuring accurate, timely reporting to the global head office. You will lead and develop a team, provide guidance to local finance heads, and support acquisition accounting and opening balance sheet reviews. Alongside the core accounting remit, you will contribute to budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, translating financial results into clear commentary for senior stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:Overseeing monthly reporting and consolidation across APAC marketsReviewing financial submissions, accounting treatments and performance variancesStrengthening internal controls and supporting SOX reportingLeading, developing and reviewing the work of the regional reporting teamBuilding effective relationships with local finance leaders and global stakeholdersSupporting forecasts, annual budgets and quarterly business reviewsProviding technical accounting guidance and supporting acquisitionsImproving reporting processes, data quality and systems About youYou are a CA or CPA qualified finance leader with strong financial reporting and consolidation experience gained within a multinational business. You have worked across international markets and can combine technical rigour with practical advice and clear communication.We are looking for:Strong technical accounting and multi-entity consolidation experienceGlobal or regional experience, including engagement with overseas head office teamsProven people leadership and stakeholder management skillsThe ability to contribute to forecasting, budgeting and financial analysisStrong Excel and data management capabilityA practical approach to improving processes in a growing businessSOX and US GAAP experience are highly desirable.
