Financial Controller | B2C Marketplace£75,000–£85,000 + BenefitsLondon | HybridTalentedge are partnering with a high-growth consumer marketplace to appoint a Financial Controller into a broad, commercially exposed role.The business has scaled rapidly, building a multi-sided platform connecting thousands of customers and partners. As the company enters its next phase of growth, they are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to strengthen the finance infrastructure, improve reporting and controls, and provide greater visibility across the business.Reporting directly into the CFO, you will take ownership of the core finance function while working closely with senior leadership across operations, commercial and product.The RoleYou will be responsible for:Owning the monthly management accounts and month-end close processDelivering accurate and timely financial reporting to the CFO and leadership teamManaging budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planningMaintaining a robust financial control environment as the business scalesManaging balance-sheet reconciliations, working capital and cash managementSupporting statutory reporting, audit, tax and compliance requirementsDeveloping reporting around marketplace economics, including revenue, take rate, contribution margin and customer/partner performancePartnering with commercial and operational teams to improve financial visibility and decision-makingImproving and automating finance processes, systems and reportingSupporting the CFO with Board and investor reportingHelping build a finance function capable of supporting continued UK and international growthWe are looking for:ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifiedStrong Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar experienceExperience within a marketplace, consumer tech, e-commerce, platform or other high-growth businessStrong technical accounting and financial control foundationsComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environmentExperience improving processes and introducing greater structure into a scaling finance functionCommercially minded, with the ability to understand the operational drivers behind the numbersMarketplace experience would be particularly valuable, including exposure to transaction volumes, payments, commissions or multi-sided revenue modelsThis would suit someone who enjoys the combination of hands-on financial control and commercial exposure and wants to play a key role in professionalising finance within a growing consumer technology business.If interested please apply below.
