Financial Controller£80,000 – £85,000 + benefitsCentral London | HybridI'm working with a VC-backed technology business that is entering an exciting stage of growth and is looking to hire a Financial Controller into its finance team.This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers, but also wants to have a genuine influence on how a growing business operates.You'll take ownership of the core financial control environment while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to improve reporting, processes and decision-making.The RoleOwn the month-end and year-end close processTake responsibility for the integrity of the balance sheet and financial reportingOversee management accounts and provide clear commentary on performanceManage cash flow, working capital and key financial controlsLead the preparation of statutory accounts and support the audit processOwn VAT, corporation tax and other financial compliance requirementsImprove and automate existing finance processes and controlsWork closely with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely reportingPartner with senior stakeholders across the business, providing financial insight and challengeSupport budgeting, forecasting and financial planningAssist with investor reporting and ad hoc analysis as the business continues to scaleWhat we're looking forACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifiedStrong technical accounting and financial control experienceExperience within a technology, SaaS, marketplace or high-growth environmentComfortable operating in a fast-paced, VC-backed or PE-backed businessStrong understanding of month-end, management accounts, balance sheets and cash flowCommercially minded with the confidence to partner with non-finance stakeholdersSomeone who enjoys improving processes rather than simply maintaining themStrong Excel / financial modelling skillsA hands-on approach and willingness to get into the detail when requiredWhy join?You'll be joining a well-funded technology business at a genuinely interesting point in its growth.The role offers the opportunity to have real ownership of the financial control function, work closely with senior leadership and help shape the finance infrastructure as the company scales.£80,000 – £85,000 + benefitsCentral LondonHybrid workingyou're a qualified accountant looking for a Financial Controller role where you can combine technical accounting, commercial partnering and process improvement, I'd be keen to hear from you.
