Financial Controller

We're a growing food & beverage company based in Dubai, with a number of brands and outlets across the UAE and plans to expand abroad. We're looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to run our finance function and help us grow the right way.You'll report to the CFO. Our business is busy and fast-moving, and margins matter. We need someone who keeps the books accurate and the controls tight, and who also enjoys walking into a restaurant and talking numbers with the people running it.What you'll be doingRunning month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, and preparing IFRS accounts for each company and for the groupHandling consolidation, intercompany and multi-currency reportingProducing outlet P&Ls and keeping a close eye on food, labour, rent and delivery costsLeading the annual budget and forecasts, and building business cases for new outlets and new marketsSetting up finance for new countries: entities, bank accounts, tax registrations and franchise accountingKeeping us fully compliant on VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing and the new UAE e-invoicing rulesMaking sure cash, POS, stock and delivery app settlements are properly controlledManaging cash flow, banks and working capitalWorking with HR on payroll, gratuity and manning budgetsImproving our systems (ERP, POS and Power BI) so we spend less time on manual workCoaching and growing your teamWhat we're looking forA degree in Accounting or Finance, plus ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA10+ years in finance, with at least 4–5 years as a Financial Controller or Finance ManagerAt least 5 years in restaurants, hospitality or retail with multiple outlets, ideally in the GCCStrong knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 16), UAE VAT and Corporate TaxExperience consolidating several companies and currenciesStrong Excel and financial modelling skillsIt's a bonus if you've helped a business open in a new country, worked with franchise models, been through an ERP change or e-invoicing project, have a Big 4 background, or speak Arabic.What we offerA senior role where your work makes a real difference, with a competitive tax-free package: housing and transport allowances, annual bonus, medical insurance, annual air ticket and 30 days' leave.
